My New Portable Writing Machine

It’s the keyboard that’s new.

I love it.

  1. That’s a pretty sweet little setup Jerry! What PDA/keyboard is that? I use my Dell Axim X30 and a Targus IR keyboard to write when I don’t have my iBook out and about with me. I also have a sweet new Windows Mobile 5 PDA phone with a built-in QWERTY keyboard…I am finding it invaluable for the little scraps of dialogue and exposition that jump out of my head at any given moment. I couldn’t write a novel on it, but I like it way better than scrawling my handwriting on the screen.

  2. It’s the iGo Bluetooth universal keyboard, and the PDA is an iPaq hx2495b running Windows Mobile 5, with WiFi. It sure beats carrying a laptop around through airports, etc.

  3. I love toting my PDA around instead of a laptop if I’m traveling. We took the iBook on our honeymoon in March, but only because it was in the shop at the Apple Store and they called to tell me it was done on our way to the airport. :-) Not only do I like the portability better, but it’s so much easier to carry a memory card full of ebooks than a big ol’ novel and a bunch of magazines falling out of my carry-on.

  4. That looks like a sweet setup, dude!
